Ever heard of Pokemon Go? Augmented Reality is the magic behind this game. This technology underwent immense evolution in terms of the technology used and the use-cases catered. For people who have no clue about Augmented Reality, it is simply able to overlay digital objects onto the real world. This technology has a lot of use cases as well. Almost all sectors like manufacturing, education, healthcare, retail, etc utilize this technology. Some of them are shown below:

Manufacturing: Often it is very difficult to assemble machine parts of a heavy vehicle like an aircraft. The technician is not able to focus both on assembling the machine parts as well as reading the instruction manual. An easier way out is to use AR glasses which help the technician do away with the manual and get the instructions on the command of his voice. This not only speeds up the work of the technician but is also less error-prone.

Education: AR technology is making a lot of difference in the education sector. It transforms the boring lectures into interactive AR classroom experience. Thus, it not only becomes enjoyable for the students to understand any difficult concepts but also makes it easier for the instructors to explain those concepts. The 3-D AR modeling of the objects enables it all.

Healthcare: AR is disrupting the field of healthcare too. The number of lives saved using this technology has shot up. Doctors can easily study any organ of a patient using the 3-D model of the same. A 3-D AR model helps to pinpoint the exact place in the organ which is affected. This in turn helps to provide better treatment and increase the chances of survival of the patient. Thus, reducing the risks.

There are a variety of other use cases in the Marketing Industry, the Fashion industry, etc. You can read about them .

The main focus of this article is to help you become a better doctor. Thus, we are going to study closely the third sector, i.e, healthcare described above.

The role of Quantum Computing

In a previous article of mine, I described the way we can imagine the human body as a mechanical system. Also, this mechanical system does have a lot of variables to deal with. Large enough to not be dealt with by a classical computer. That is where a Quantum Computer comes into play. Deriving the state of a human body, with the help of these variables requires a lot of computation. On the contrary, if a quantum computer is able to help us derive the state of a human body, we will be able to analyze our diseases on our own.

In the description above, we saw how Augmented Reality can help us analyze various aspects of human health. So what is going to happen when we couple quantum computing with augmented reality?

A million possibilities will open up. Some of them are listed below:

▶️With the most accurate computations of your body, you will be able to find out how ill you are or how acute your illness is.

▶️Instead of visiting the doctor, you can find out the right medicine for yourself from a database of millions of medicines.

Apart from this, you will not have to visit the doctor for every little illness that you have.

Conclusion

Quantum Computing has a long way to go. Humans have just started to explore the incredible use-cases of the same. Coupling Quantum Computing has incredible use-cases too. We simply have to wait where will it lead us.
