Why should boys have all the FUN ;)
The other day I was driven completely nuts deciding what to wear. By the time I got ready to leave it seemed the world inside my wardrobe had been turned upside down. In other words, I mused upon the number of clothes I have which I wore in the 1960s at some wedding!
It also helped me think of an interesting fact. Why are there so many options to pick from for girls while boys have absolutely no clue what to mix and match? They just grab a tee and jeans and they are done. Why do they have such a gender-neutral taste in clothing or is it just stereotypical or are they simply lazy to dress some other way?
So I am a college student and guys here literally stink in their dressing sense. Some would even turn up in really short shorts. The most hilarious anecdote is that of last Diwali when I was so excited to dress up in my new traditionals and partake in the college Diwali some of them again were again dressed in the old school way. It would be hard to tell the difference between them and a miserable and money wretched person who just gatecrashed the event to collect the refreshments. It is so difficult for them to cross their own threshold beyond which they are compelled to dress. That literally happens just twice a year — once during the annual college fest and the other during their placement interviews — when it really seems that their parents indeed bought them clothes to wear.
Jokes apart, but guys you need to really choose a fashion statement. Although there is a lot on their fashion too out there but there isn’t a lot of hype as that for the female fashion. While organizing the fashion walk for the college it was so easy to decide the outfits for all the girls but for boys it seemed as if we were still in the stone age where we only had leaves and animal skin to cover them as they hardly had any options to choose from. The props ultimately helped differentiate one person’s theme from the other. I am simply like — for god’s sake somebody should start talking about male fashion too because that day isn’t far when they shall retreat to getting dressed like their stone-age ancestors.
Look at the guy above! How sleek and neat his style is, simple yet elegant. I mean how many of you boys can claim to have the scarf he is wearing around his neck. Hardly anybody of you! Look at us girls — whenever there is a new category of apparel in the market we need to add it to our wardrobes or else we will be called the outliers in the herd and the one girl who has them all and tells about them to everybody else in the herd is the most enlightened one. We all would agree with it. She can actually make a career out of delivering fashion talks to her male counterparts.
Undoubtedly today, females are outperforming males in all the fields but as far as keeping one’s ownself updated about the latest fashion is concerned guys you need to brace yourselves up to match the girls because you are light years away from being even an average performer in this domain. I hope that some of you boys out there get inspired to just start looking out for the various other options available to you before you go to the next social event with your girl-friends to give them a cut-throat competition.
